We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural  / Thermal Analyst I with experience in the thermal and mechanical design of LV sections, tanks, fairing, components and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FEA and thermal simulations, combined with hands-on experience in experimental development and testing of high-performance components. This role involves close collaboration with an international R&D team to optimize the design and performance of LV components and systems.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform static and transient structural and thermal analysis of LV components and systems to ensure mechanical integrity under operation loads.
  • Develop test programs, analyze experimental data, and apply results to improve design iterations.
  • Develop of mathematical models and special software for thermal analysis in Matlab.
  • Develop/Preparation CAD models for FEA analysis and manufacturing.
  • Develop technical reports, technical specifications, sections for PDR and CDR, etc.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, aerospace, and controls engineering.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 9 years of industry experience in aerospace design and analysis.
  • Expertise in Ansys products: Mechanical, Explicit dynamics (LS-Dyna), Linear and nonlinear eigenvalue buckling, Harmonic response and Random vibrations for simulation tasks.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB programming, data analysis and optimization.
  • Proficiency in SpaceClaim and SolidWorks
  • Fluent in English.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience with cryogenic systems, liquid rocket systems and components.
  • Hands-on experience in design and improvement of LV components and systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and technological processes of parts is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
