We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Propulsion Engineer I with experience in the design of the valves for different pneumo-hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD systems, CFD and FEA simulations, combined with hands-on experience in experimental development and testing of all types of valves (inc. cryogenic). This role involves close collaboration with an international R&D team to optimize the design and performance of liquid rocket engine feed systems.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design different types of valves (pneumoactuated, electropneumatic, electrohydraulic check valves, throttles, regulators, etc.) using specialized software tools.
Execute CFD analyses to evaluate the valve's pressure drops, throttle's hydraulic characteristics, etc.
Perform structural and thermal FEA to ensure mechanical integrity under operation loads.
Develop valve’s autonomictest programs, analyze experimental data, and apply results to improve design iterations.
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, aerospace, and controls engineering.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related fields.
Minimum 4 years of industry experience in aerospace propulsion systems or similar.
Expertise in SolidWorks or similar.
Proficiency in Ansys CFX, Fluent, and Mechanical for simulation tasks.
Fluent in English.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Prior experience with cryogenic valves for liquid rocket engine and/or other rocket systems.
Hands-on experience in test bench setups and test article performance diagnostics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
