Job description
Duties
- Review national and agency information technology/cybersecurity mandates and assess impacts to systems, assist in implementing strategies, and work with management on identifying solutions.
- Establish security review process on Mission Directorate systems. Participate in determining structure, content, and cadence for reviews with management.
- Contribute to the development of an automated process that provides a view of Mission Directorate risk against all system security plans, and analysis of Mission Directorate systems and security controls for risks.
- Perform reviews in support of cybersecurity and technology implementations on contracts for feasibility, scalability, challenges, and roadblocks, and work with internal and external partners on obstacles and resolutions.
- Review requirements for new technology, applications and web sites; assess options with pros and cons; participate in assessment of implementation mechanism; perform project planning, management and maintenance throughout various project phases.
- Monitor Mission Directorate security incidents and address in cooperation with Office of the Chief Information Officer. Participate in activities in support of Cybersecurity training for team members to reduce risks of cybersecurity incidents.

Qualifications
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
- Monitoring, reviewing and analyzing Cybersecurity, Information Technology and Operational Technology policy and planning to determine and implement efficient compliance;
- Implementing new technologies, web sites, and applications to meet organization's requirements;
- Conducting cybersecurity risk assessment reviews to communicate and track current threats, concerns, risks, and vulnerabilities.
IF you are qualifying based on experience, you MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
- Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
- Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

- Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
