IS/IT Solutions Engineer for BI

Context

Within the Information Systems Department of Thales Alenia Space, in a context of transformation and digitization, we are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Project Manager.

You will join a team in charge of Thales Alenia Space's Business Analytics, Datawarehouse and Consolidation Tools.

You will lead projects in the field of Business Analytics in an international context (mainly Europe).

The position is based in Rome.

Missions

• You collect, understand, challenge and implement the needs of internal customers that drive the analysis, design and development of quality technical solutions that are aligned with the business and IT strategies and are in compliance with the organization’s architectural standards
• You will manage projects in the domain, from design to deployment, in compliance with the BI standard, in a transnational context and in integration with other domains (Finance, Purchasing, Logistics, Production, Human Resource)
• You are responsible for the support, maintenance and training activities of the solution for Business Analytics users

Throughout your assignment, you work closely with the various Methods & Tools teams and the network of Joint-Venture reference users.

You may be required to travel to Italy and Europe.

Profile

• you have proven experience in the field of Information System
• You have solid knowledge of project management, respecting the budget, deadlines, quality standards and obtaining customer satisfaction. You have already demonstrated this during a previous successful experience.
• You have already worked in an integrated team; furthermore, you particularly appreciate collaborative work and enjoy stimulating exchanges
• You have outstanding problem-solving skills and a passion to solve difficult issues
• You are recognized for your pragmatism, commitment and rigor

COMPETENCIES

• Business Intelligence consultant with at least 5+ years of experience and You master the Business Analytics, Datawarehouse and Consolidation Tools concept.
• Extensive experience in BW7.5 and SAP BW/4HANA version 2.0 or earlier
• Extensive knowledge in data modelling, particularly based on the BW/4HANA concept
• Knowledge in Planning, Budgeting, Consolidation and Reporting functionalities
• Familiarity with BI tools such as ESSBASE, PowerBI and BI4 is highly desired
• Experience in SAP finance, Purchasing and Production related modules is a plus
• Should be good in Business English communication.
• Strong communication skills both in English and Italian
