Software Verification Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of the delivered software, aiming to minimize software defects in the release to the IV&V team.
He/She is in charge of defining the test strategy and the test procedures able to verify the implemented features and of demonstrating the coverage of the software requirements and User Stories acceptance criteria (in case Agile methodology is applied).
He/She executes the verification test procedures and prepare the verification report to be included in the software delivery package to the IV&V team.
He/She set-up the test environment and prepare the needed simulators to properly verify the compliance to the requested interfaces.
He/She works in strict collaboration with the Development teams, providing the proper feedback on the verified software items to solve the detected defects and support the IV&V team for the preparation of the end-to-end test procedures.
Activities/Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of the delivered software items
- Requirements and User Stories Analysis
- Definition of the acceptance criteria and the verification strategy
- Prepare the test environment, test procedures and test reports
- Detect the software defects and coordinate the bugs closure with the development teams
- Set-up of the automated test procedures
- Participate to the On-Factory Acceptance Test sessions
Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant scientific disciplines
- At least 5 years of experience
Essential Skills
- Good Knowledge of Linux environments, containers and related orchestration frameworks (e.g. Dockers, Kubernetes)
- Good knowledge of Cloud-based infrastructure and applications, microservices architectures
- Good English knowledge
- Experience in software verification activities
- Knowledge of Agile/DevSecOps models
- Knowledge of work management tools, e.g. Jira, Confluence
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools, e.g. Jenkins, GitLab
- Knowledge of software test tools and frameworks, e.g. Katalon, Postman, Testiny, Playwright
- Knowledge of Bash, Python
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of space and ground system domain and standards
- Knowledge of software development lifecycles and change control processes
- Basic knowledge of ICT security elements
- Knowledge of Code Analysis tools, e.g. SonarQube
- Knowledge of Ansible framework
