Telespazio- SatCom Software Engineer

Job Description:

Telespazio is a joint venture between Leonardo (67%) and Thales (33%) and one of the world’s biggest suppliers of satellite solutions and services. The company teams up with Thales Alenia Space to form the parent companies’ Space Alliance, a strategic partnership which offers a complete range of space services. Founded in Italy in 1961, Telespazio is based in Rome and counts more than 3000 employees through its various subsidiaries and joint ventures.

We are looking for an experienced egineer for Integration in a technical group active in the production and management of systems and software in the Satellite Telecommunication field.

Technical activity is in the SatCOM field for the design, implementation and management of global networks, including software, networking and system engineering aspects.

Required skills:
•    STEM degree or equivalent experience.
•    English (Level B2) written and spoken.
•    Knowledge of networking, tuning and hardening of systems and infrastructures
•    Ansible playbook development
•    Knowledge of GNU/Linux Debian and Redhat based environments
•    Experience with microservices architecture (Kubernetes, Docker).
•    Ability to configure IPsec VPN and OpenVPN or equivalent
•    Scripting capabilities (Python, Go, Bash, Ruby)

Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of a virtualization environment such as Vmware, Proxmox, KVM or Virtualbox
• Good knowledge in vulnerability assessment
• Knowledge of Docker/Podman and Kubernetes container technology
• Have a personal GitHub repository and have collaborative development experiences
