As OMES III contract prime, Intuitive Machines has an exciting opportunity for a Ground Systems Engineer to provide support to the LEO Ground Services Systems Engineering Integration and Test team.


Position Description - Please provide duties below, duties are pulled from contract SLC qualifications.


The duties of a OMES III Senior Systems Engineer are:

  • Knowledge and experience with Ground System and Satellite Operations or I&T.

  • Software/system test and validation processes.

  • Supporting member of Mission Support Team interface for System Test development/execution.

  • Review performance data from test events and provide artifact analysis.

  • Support to Integration, Verification and Validation for future missions and modernization activities.

  • Support System Upgrade and Integrated Test and Checkout activities and requirements sell-off.

  • Track and provide input on related Discrepancy Reports and Work Requests.

  • Participate in anomaly resolution teams.

  • Perform all tasks from team leadership.

  • Create training and testing procedures based on the ground system architecture and functionality.

Experience and knowledge of complex, distributed ground systems to include satellite ground station equipment and procedures. This includes:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a related area

  • 8 + years of experience in the field or in a related area

  • Knowledge and experience with Ground System and Satellite Operations or I&T.
    Software/system test and validation processes.

  • Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) development and validation.

  • Experience performing software deployment including knowledge of deployment processes and coordinating with operations team and customers is highly desired. 

  • Experience training new and experienced engineers is highly desired.

  • Experience with scripting in Perl, Python, or Powershell is highly desired.

  • Experience and knowledge of SQL databases and SQL database queries is highly desired. 

  • Experience with Raytheon software systems (ECLIPSE ™, EQUINOX ™, ESC ™) and science data processing systems are highly desired.
