About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated GNC Engineer with strong technical skills to join our ADCS software Team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the long-term success and operational efficiency of the largest commercial SAR constellation on Earth, with the potential for future leadership.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining ADCS software and relevant supporting tools. You will optimize satellite operations, enhance software tools, and address on-orbit challenges. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including mission planning, ground systems, SAR processing, and satellite operations, is essential to achieve mission goals.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain software components performing GNC functions on board the satellite
- Guide and mentor less experienced engineers
- Take ownership of the things you produce. You are expected to continuously monitor, analyze and improve the specifications and procedures you define, and software you develop.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, encouraging professional growth and continuous learning.
- Perform performance and trade studies related to ADCS for existing and future space missions.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Partner with mission operations, payload teams, and ground systems engineers to run in-orbit experiments and anomaly investigations.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
Requirements
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience developing real-time control systems in space or aerospace applications (10+ years). Experience designing and developing ADCS is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading small teams or projects in a technical domain.
- Experience working with continuous integration and testing of software systems is highly desired.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth understanding of orbital mechanics, attitude dynamics, state estimation and Kalman filtering.
- In-depth understanding of linear control theory
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Simulink, Python, C++ or similar.
- Proficiency in modern software development tools: git, CICD systemsÂ
Leadership & Communication:
- Strong organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
