Since 2001, Northrop Grumman has delivered Through-Life Support to the Royal Australian Air Force’s 34 Squadron located at RAAF Fairbairn in Canberra. The high-performing Northrop Grumman SPA (Special Purpose Aircraft) team is comprised of approximately 50 staff who provide all levels of maintenance, training and logistics support to the fleet of two Boeing 737-BBJ’s and three Dassault Falcon 7X Business Jets. 

About You: 

Reporting to the SPA Operations Manager, the SPA LAME is required to conduct and certify maintenance and provide operational support to the 34 SQN RAAF SPA Aircraft Fleet (Boeing BBJ and Falcon F7X) in alignment with company and regulatory requirements.  
You will be expected to perform maintenance and modifications at the SPA Maintenance Facility in Canberra, ACT, in remote locations and overseas as required.  This includes the requirement to provide Travelling Engineer Away-Base support for the SPA Aircraft Fleet as required. 

 

About You 

You will be an experienced LAME, ideally on the same or similar aircraft to the SPA fleet, with a CASA B1 and/or B2 CertificationYou will be seeking a dynamic role where no two days are the same, as you provide essential maintenance and troubleshooting support to the SPA fleet to ensure it is operational and available whenever required. Customer service and communication are key as you work closely with and pivot between technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

 

Please note:  You must already have, or be able to obtain, a NV1 clearance (not baseline) as well as an ASIC. 

SPA EBA Pay Rates: 

In addition to the opportunity to receive training on two highly sought-after aircraft types, our SPA EBA (Special Purpose Aircraft Enterprise Bargaining Agreement) boasts highly competitive rates. Further details on the pay rates included with this opportunity will be discussed at interview stage.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
