Inside Leonardo Space Division we are looking for a GeoInformation Application Specialist based in Roma plant.

Job Responsibilities:

Design innovative Use Cases for the exploitation of GeoInformation (incl. Earth Observation) in one of the following application areas:

Urban

Energy & Utilities

Environment

D&I

Geohazard

Agriculture & Forestry

Analyse user needs and market trends, to qualify and prioritize the proposed Use Cases

Define the scope of the prototype and  the target product and service specifications

Identify the success criteria for its further development and industrialization

Define the Business Case

Draft/review technical documentation and presentations.

Education:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering / Geophysical Sciences / Geology / Physics or related field/experience

Preference will be given to candidates holding a PhD.

Seniority:

Junior: 0-1 years.

Preference will be given to Master Thesis on subjects crossed to specific key competencies (see below).

Key Competencies:

Good knowledge of the thematic domain, including related policies, stakeholders and users’ needs

Good knowledge of Earth Observation applications and the basic principles of GIS and Remote Sensing

Familiarity with GIS and Earth Observation data processing (also using COTS tools) is a plus.
