Our team is seeking an Electrical Designer to join Axiom's EIDT electrical integration design team. The role focuses on creating and developing detailed 3D harness models using SolidWorks Electrical, with emphasis on EMC considerations and manufacturing requirements. Key responsibilities include parametric 3D routing of electrical systems, creating comprehensive harness documentation, and implementing EMI shielding requirements. The ideal candidate will combine technical precision with creative problem-solving skills, demonstrating expertise in 3D CAD environments and strong project management abilities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Create parametric 3D routing of electrical and control systems using SolidWorks Electrical.
Ensure 3D model accuracy relative to design intent and actual mass.
Create detailed harness drawings and documentation.
Develop wire routing and bundle configurations with EMC considerations.
Support manufacturing requirements with DFM guidance.
Implement EMC/EMI shielding and separation requirements in 3D models.
Adhere to and maintain knowledge of applicable standards and specifications.
Performs other duties as necessary.

Education & Experience
Minimum 7 years' experience in similar role using electrical schematics.
Bachelor/associate’s degree or relative CAD certifications (if less than 15 years of experience).
Ability to understand and interpret wire diagrams is a must.
Proficient in 3D CAD environment, preferably with SolidWorks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
