EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Intern in our Hughes Network Systems Division. This position will be located at our manufacturing/operations facility in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

Support SMT Process Engineers with instructions preparation.
Support SMT Process Engineers with evaluating builds and help prepare validation reports.
Optimize the production processes.
Perform process capabilities studies for various manufacturing processes. - Set up or expand method to track/trend.
Assist with various related engineering functions, e.g., design, costs reduction, and quality control.
Help resolve quality issues within Manufacturing Operations using problem solving techniques.

Basic Requirements:

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field
60 credit hours or more by start of internship, June 2025
3.0 GPA or above

Preferred Qualifications:

Has strong functional use of Microsoft Office, Minitab and AutoCad.
Highly organized with critical attention to detail.
Fast apprehension, resilience & ability to work independently.
Team player with good and clear communication skills.
Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $49,000.00 - $70,000.00
