We are looking for a highly skilled Compensation Analyst (level and salary will be commensurate with experience) with hands-on expertise in compensation administration. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of compensation practices, and the versatility to manage all facets of compensation management.
The Compensation Analyst will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s compensation programs to ensure internal equity, market competitiveness, and alignment with business goals. Supporting an organization of approximately 1,000 employees, this position involves conducting detailed analyses, delivering actionable insights, and recommending strategies to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive compensation programs, such as short-term and long-term incentive plans and the Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) program. Success in this role requires a collaborative, detail-oriented professional capable of managing complex programs while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. A proactive, solutions-focused approach is essential.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Compensation Strategy and Program Design
Develop and maintain a comprehensive annual compensation strategy and philosophy aligned with company objectives.
Design, implement, and manage compensation programs, including salary structures, short- and long-term incentive plans, and RSU programs.
Design and oversee an executive compensation program.
Align compensation strategies with recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent.
Compensation Analysis and Benchmarking
Conduct market analysis to benchmark compensation practices and maintain competitive salary structures.
Utilize industry surveys and tools to analyze salary trends and recommend adjustments to ensure market alignment.
Collaborate with external vendors to acquire market data, analyze trends, and maintain industry competitiveness (i.e., Economic Research Institute (ERI) system).
Job Evaluation and Classification
Evaluate job descriptions in collaboration with managers and People & Culture team members to ensure accurate classification and alignment with the organizational structure.
Maintain job families and salary grades to promote internal equity.
Compensation Program Administration
Lead the annual compensation cycle, integrating it with the performance review process and coordinating with management, payroll, HRIS, and People & Culture Business Partners.
Review and provide annual compensation processes, including merit increases, promotions, and market adjustments.
Support the development of variable pay programs, such as bonuses and incentives.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compensation practices comply with applicable labor laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, pay equity standards).
Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory updates to maintain compliance across all compensation programs.
Prepare and maintain reports, metrics, and dashboards to track compensation trends and inform decision-making.
Partner and Advisor
Partner with People & Culture team members and business leaders to provide guidance on compensation strategies, practices, and salary recommendations.
Assist Talent Strategy and Internal Communications in creating training materials and communication plans for compensation programs.
Additional Responsibilities and Special Projects
Support ad hoc compensation-related projects, such as workforce analysis, equity studies, and pay structure reviews.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field. Equivalent education, experience, and training will also be considered.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of direct, hands-on compensation administration experience required.
Participation in compensation surveys or proficiency in using Economic Research Institute (ERI) or similar compensation analysis software is required.
Demonstrated expertise in compensation research, data analysis, and problem-solving is essential.
Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft excel is required.
Experience with Workday or other HRIS systems is preferred.
Certification as a compensation or human resources professional is preferred.
Experience in International Global Compensation Administration (non-US) is preferred.

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).

Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
