As the Head of Production & Integration, you will be responsible for optimizing production and integration processes. You will play a key role in implementing industrial strategies, continuously improving production performance, and supporting teams to ensure industrial project success while meeting cost, time, and quality constraints.

Responsibilities

Tasks and missions

Support for development teams:

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize designs to reduce production and integration costs
  • Ensure smooth communication between development, production and integration teams to guarantee that designs meet industrial requirements.

Make or Buy studies:

  • Conduct in-depth studies to determine the best options between in-house manufacturing (Make) and external purchasing (Buy).
  • Prepare detailed reports to present to the Executive Committee (COMEX) to inform decisions on internalization or outsourcing

Team Leadership for P&I department:

  • Recruit, lead, organize and coordinate the P&I team to ensure the availability of means, infrastructure and resources necessary for production activities on main and remote sites (spaceports).
  • Ensure an optimal and secure working environment for all industrial operations.

Production strategy definition:

  • Develop and justify an effective production strategy, taking into account factors such as Tact time, lot size, stock management, quality targets, etc.
  • Implement the necessary processes and means to support large-scale production while ensuring ramp up.
  • Ensure seamless series production startups without customer disruptions.
  • Anticipate needs related to modifications and obsolescence.

Ramp-up and industrialization preparation:

  • Prepare for production ramp-up and industrialization by defining needs in terms of human resources, infrastructure, and equipment.
  • Implement the necessary processes and means to support large-scale production while ensuring ramp up.
  • Ensure seamless series production startups without customer disruptions.
  • Anticipate needs related to modifications and obsolescence.

Skills development and in-house manufacturing

  • Develop internal skills for the manufacturing of critical parts by setting up training programs and knowledge transfer processes.
  • Oversee in-house manufacturing to ensure the quality and conformity of the produced parts (QCD).

Monitoring and in-house manufacturing:

  • Establish performance indicators to track production efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, increase quality, and manage feedback.

Coordination of production at launch sites:

  • Participate in the selection and synchronization of launch sites, considering logistical, technical, and strategic constraints.
  • Ensure, in collaboration with stakeholders, that the selected sites meet production and integration needs.

Preferred experience and skills

  • Significant experience in industrial production management, ideally in the aerospace, space, defense sectors or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven skills in project management and production management, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams (100+ people).
  • In-depth knowledge of industrialization processes, series production startup, Make or Buy analysis, and Lean Manufacturing methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, including executive levels.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and implement innovative solutions to meet the company's needs.
  • Hands on ability
  • Proficiency in French and English is essential.
