What is the role? 

As a Satellite Operations Specialist, you will be an integral part of ensuring that ICEYE is able to deliver the product and data to customers. You will work closely with other operators on the operations console throughout your shift hours, ensuring smooth operation of our constellation of satellites and providing crucial support for any unexpected contingencies that arise on the fleet or ground systems. You will help to improve Satellite Operations by developing new procedures and tools. You'll handle fleet maintenance, engage in mock operations pre-launch, and be a critical part of the Launch and Early Orbit Operations. Requirements

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • Relevant university degree: Aeronautical Engineering, Space studies, Applied Physics or similar, or relative experience in a similar role.
  • Have attention to detail with an excellent ability to focus
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to react fast
  • Strong English language skills (both written and spoken)
  • Flexibility in scheduled working hours (ability to work morning, evening, and night shifts, 365/24/7 basis)
  • Interest in Space Industry/Satellite Operations

In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if you had the below attributes and skills:

  • Space background
  • Knowledge about satellite systems
  • Knowledge about orbital mechanics
  • Familiarity with Linux system
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Cloud (Jira, Confluence)
