We're looking for an Electronics Technician, Thermal Specialization, to join our satellite systems team in our Montreal office.

The Electronics Technician, Thermal Specialization is the first level of skilled work. He/she may require supervision of more experienced technicians or technical staff/engineers, perform a variety of tasks related to established systems or new tasks of moderate complexity. Work from written instructions or general guidelines and participate in the testing of complex production units and systems.

Responsibility / Tasks:

  • Assemble and modify models from specific instructions or under the technical supervision of more experienced technicians or technical staff.
  • Assemble, modify and verify equipment test benches.
  • Test, align and calibrate production units and systems of intermediate complexity.
  • Record data relating to the results of tests or experiments.Prepare reports and may make recommendations in connection with assigned tasks.
  • Monitor and test units in thermal or vacuum chambers.
  • Follow and understand flight test processes.
  • Perform work in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules.
  • Perform other related duties.

Thermal Specialization :

  • Prepare and monitor thermal and vacuum thermal tests independently.
  • Maintain thermal and vacuum thermal test chambers.

Schedule: 

  • Evening shift: Monday to Friday 14h30 to 22h30.
  • *Training period will be day shift.

Qualifications required:

  • DEC or equivalent in mechanical, electromechanical, electrical engineering, electronics or related field as assigned.
  • 2 to 5 years relevant experience.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English an asset.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience as assigned.

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
