We’re on the hunt for a Senior Certifier on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:
Performs activities related to the review and complete or partial inspection of the conformity of our parts and products according to our standard processes and to specific program requirements. In addition, may be required to perform the duties of incoming inspector, mechanical assembler, electromechanical assembler, micro-electromechanical assembler, production assistant and general helper, depending on skills.
Level of Responsibility: Participates in or undertakes the resolution of various problems. Mentors, advises and trains less experienced employees.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares quality reports of mandatory inspection points (MIP), by tollgates, ... and supports internal audits.
- Inspects sub-component assemblies and finished components for compliance with standards and specifications.
- Performs all activities related to maintaining traceability in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Checks the revision of documents.
- Checks the application of polymeric materials and their traceability.
- Performs trigonometric calculations to relate drawing data to the use of manual (e.g. vernier, micrometer, gauge, ...) and automated (e.g. CMM, ...) measuring instruments.
- Prepares non-conformance reports, follows up and makes arrangements.
- Monitors critical operations (e.g. movement or handling of satellites, ...).
- Supports the quality assurance group in various functions.
- Supports research and development.
- Supports and trains less experienced employees.
- Any other related tasks.
Minimum qualifications required:
- College diploma or diploma of vocational studies in one of the following fields: electronics, mechanics, aeronautics or equivalent.
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of French. Basic knowledge of English is an asset.
- Reading of drawings.
- Mastery of the principle of geometric tolerances and dimensions.
- Thorough knowledge of quality assurance principles and processes.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 depending on assignment.
- Ability to retrieve and enter computer data using a computer system
- Use of production databases.
- Good judgement skills.
- Fine manual dexterity.
- The incumbent is autonomous in his/her work.
- The incumbent is proactive in his/her field of expertise.
- The incumbent shows initiative regarding technical issues.

Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
