Position Overview (Summary/Objective):

Our Student Program provides amazing opportunities to develop functional job skills and gain real-world experience and expertise. We offer spring, fall and year-round internships and co-ops in fields across the company, including engineering, finance, and business development.

Currently we are seeking a SUMMER INTERN in Mechanical Computer Aided Design for Summer 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Support mechanical design tasks directed by senior mechanical engineers
  • Create geometric part models, assembly layouts, detailed drawings, and bills of materials using Creo solid modeling and PDMLink data management software
  • Help assess mechanical designs for cost efficiency and manufacturability
  • Perform drawing changes for needed engineering design updates
  • Interact with various engineering disciplines to help deliver robust designs
  • Communicate progress via status reports, peer reviews, and presentations

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Exposure to Computer Aided Design software such as CREO
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight or within a team setting
  • Good verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to prioritize individual work and meet schedule commitments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Familiar with typical engineering manufacturing processes
  • Exposure to CAD modeling best practices and designing for manufacturability

The position is located onsite at our facility in Danbury, CT. EHS/Environmental Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions, occasionally operate tools and/or machinery with hands and arms and remain stationary for extended periods of the time. The employee will use protective equipment when working with chemicals, move between workstations, reach, and replace equipment, and move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
