The Launch Missile Defense System is seeking an Associate Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst or Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst to join our team. The candidate can be based either in Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO facilities. This position can be filled with either the level 1 or level 2 based qualifying years of experience. Currently, this position requires the employee to be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week. Should business needs change, this role will not have any hybrid availability.
In this role, the selected candidate will:
- Setting up cost control system, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
- Performing analyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters
- Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
- Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled
- Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and preparation of expenditure projections
- Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
- Performing miscellaneous financial analysis including monthly financial reporting/forecasting and quarterly EACs
- Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies
Basic Qualifications for Level 1:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ months of professional work experience
- Additional 4+ years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Microsoft Office experience, including MS Excel, will be needed for the role
- Financial or accounting experience
Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years professional work experience – OR – Master’s Degree and 1+ years professional work experience
- Additional 4+ years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office with the ability to analyze and manipulate data in MS Excel to efficiently achieve objectives
- Financial or accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
- Experience with Deltek Cobra
- Experience with SAP
- Department of Defense (DoD) experience
- Aerospace, Space, or Defense industry experience
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Earned Value Management Experience (EVMS)
- Currently residing in Colorado Springs, CO
