Job description

The Senior ML Integration Engineer will be responsible for integrating machine learning models into existing systems and workflows, ensuring that these models operate efficiently and effectively in production environments. This role involves working closely with data scientists, software engineers, and IT teams to deploy and maintain machine learning solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model Integration: Deploy and integrate machine learning models into production environments.
  • Pipeline Development: Develop and manage end-to-end ML pipelines for data processing, model training, and deployment.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of ML models in production.
  • Collaboration: Work with data scientists and engineers to align model requirements and ensure effective integration.
  • Automation: Implement CI/CD practices for ML models and automate deployment workflows.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to ML model performance and integration.
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation for integration processes, model configurations, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering with a focus on integrating ML models into production.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, and experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • ML Integration: Experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production environments.
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Data Pipelines: Experience with developing and managing ML pipelines.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot ML model issues. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years of ML engineering experience with a proven track record in production environments.
  • Advanced Skills: Expertise in ML frameworks, with experience in ML Ops tools and performance tuning.
  • Cloud Platforms: Advanced knowledge of cloud ML services (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google AI Platform).
  • Certifications: Relevant ML or cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty).
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the aerospace or technology sectors is highly desirable.

  • This position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158,  or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
