Position Purpose: The Manufacturing Staff Consultant is a technical position in the operations department focusing on manufacturing and continuous improvement and solving real time problems associated with the manufacturing systems at BCT.

Pay Range: $140,000 - $250,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in the continuous improvement of the operations and manufacturing systems and processes at BCT.
• ERP specialist for BCT with a focus on streamlining process and generating a system that meets the needs of BCT.
• Execute ERP analyses and be a PoC for reaching out to the larger ERP support group.
• Deep dive programmatic issues relating to GPD, costing, and EACs.
• Utilize manufacturing analyses to solve short term problems for programs and product lines (capacity, throughput, bottlenecks).
• Assist the BD team and product lines for new business capacity.
• Maintain the AOP/LRP model for manufacturing to support long term planning.
• Focus on Inventory analysis, AR generation, AR liquidation, and LTA analyses that support the business AOP/LRP.
• Support long term projects that focus on goal-oriented outcomes for improving the manufacturing systems at BCT.
• Participate in continuous improvement CORE events and champion CORE training, principles, and implementation.
• Mentor operations and manufacturing employees.
• Participate in product line design reviews with an emphasis on DFx.
• Assist with transitioning next generation hardware into production.
• Assist with ensuring continued ISO9001 Certification
• Collaborate with senior leadership for planning, execution, and management of critical business performance, process improvements, and other strategic initiatives.
• Assist with leading, participating, and/or facilitating investigations into root causes and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Support and advocate for a consistent focus on continuous improvement with a system wide view.

Required Qualifications/Education:

• BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 15 or more years related experience.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across all levels of an organization and with external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement company-wide initiatives effectively.

• Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.  However, factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require BCT to shorten or extend the application window.
