Northrop Grumman (NG) has an immediate need for an Account Lead, running a large and complex profit and loss within a sensitive domain, a core part of Northrop Grumman's Cyber and Intelligence (C&I) Leadership Team in the UK. You will be responsible and accountable leading a NG team, and a number of suppliers to deliver critical operational services for a restricted customer. The position will be located between London and Cheltenham and will report to the Director of the C&I Business.

As an Account Lead, you will establish and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships to foster an in-depth understanding of business requirements, lead and develop transformational strategies/concepts, implement change to create and drive capabilities that enable business requirements. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Execution and further development of an Account strategy, in line with the overall strategy.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships and satisfaction.
  • Full risk and opportunity management, including awareness of Operational Security and how these risks can be managed and mitigated.
  • Growth of the Account into similar and new areas, with support of the Business Development function.
  • Staff leadership and management, developing and nurturing talent.
  • Governance and assurance of delivered capabilities.

Person Specification and Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience working in the National Security Sector (or similar) with deep domain insight.
  • Experience leading diverse/matrixed functional or program teams driving outcomes and achieving results across multiple locations, including leading with Agile and / or SAFE methodologies.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of diverse and complex projects--to include classified and unclassified.
  • Results-oriented team player, with the ability to handle a rapidly changing set of projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence.
  • Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/decision-making skills and risk management, as well as strong business and technical acumen.
  • Excellent organisational, verbal, and written communications skills, as well as program management, strategy, analytical, planning, and presentation skills are required.
  • Management experience and skills, or other comparable leadership positions, to include management of offsite and matrixed personnel, and employee development.
  • Creative thinking to solve resource challenges for large programs or products.
  • Comfortable making recommendations that have broad organisational impacts.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and written skills; strong organisational and analytical skills; and must be a team player.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships
  • 30% travel (to customer / supplier sites – predominantly in the UK) is required.

You must hold and maintain the highest level of UK Government security clearance or relevant UK Government security clearance in line with this role (DV)
