Job description

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refueled in orbit, and which carries cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you as a talented harness CAD designer for designing and documenting electrical harnesses of our spacecraft. In addition you will support the design team to design mechanical parts.

Key Responsibilities

To create accurate 3D models and drawings of electrical harnesses on CATIA (or equivalent)
To analyze and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
To collaborate closely with design engineers and the avionic team in order to design the harness according to the requirements
To create and maintain part libraries (3D models) for electrical harnesses
To create and maintain technical documentation (flattening and formboards) a for electrical harnesses

What we would love to see from you

In the role of harness CAD designer ideally, you will have the following qualifications:

Experience and knowledge of industry standards for designing electrical harnesses
Experience with CAD softwares (CATIA, Solidworks…)
- knowledge on PLM tool and best practice
- knowledge on CAD module specific for harness routing
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with design engineers
Fluent in English.

And the following skills:

Strong organizing and prioritization of tasks
Positive and flexible attitude to get the job done
Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
