Terran Orbital Corporation is seeking a motivated, experienced, and highly organized Sr. Procurement Specialist to provide purchased materials and supplies and manage and develop the vendor base across our satellite and technology programs at our multiple location. As a Sr. Procurement Specialist (Sr. Buyer), you will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, managers, and other stakeholders to maintain and status execution of projects and prepare performance evaluation reports.   

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Negotiate and procure materials based on best price and/or best value to reach company objectives.
  • Review and share engineering requirements and quality flowdowns with suppliers. 
  • Monitor and improve best practice policies for procurement.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies such as supply and purchase agreements.
  • Maintain records in accordance with established policies, procedures, and audit guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationship and manage customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain procurement key performance metrics.
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented, effective, and completed timely.
  • Perform complex tasks as well as analyze and solve problems with minimal supervision
  • Participate in the material review board to disposition and process discrepant material in a timely manner.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and report to supervisor on a regular basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:   

  • BS degree in related field or equivalent experience is required
  • At least 4 years of experience in a procurement role
  • Possess an established track record of procuring multiple commodities
  • Proficiency in ERP software, such as MS Dynamics
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to evaluate procurement bids in accordance with established criteria
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Driven, highly motivated, and committed to improvement
  • Ability to add something unique and positive to our team

 ADDITIONAL DIFFERENTIATORS    

  • Experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Manufacturing industry a plus
  • Working knowledge of various corporate systems: JIRA and Confluence collaboration tools
  • Understanding of project management and program budget very helpful
  • Exceptional communication skills with multiple disciplines
  • Certification in Supply Chain such as APICS SPIM, CSCP, and CPP
  • Ability to lead and motivate team
  • Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart confidential information

Salary Range $70,000-$110,000     
                
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:    

This is largely a sedentary role with heavy computer usage. Position may require incumbent to move files, walk around the office, and bend/stand as necessary.   

WORK ENVIRONMENT:    

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
