We’re on the hunt for a part-time Office Manager within our MDA-UK team at our Manchester office.

MDA UK: MDA’s international footprint in the UK creates opportunities to work with some of the most exciting space industrial players in the country. Delivering all three business area capabilities in Geointelligence, Robotics & Space Operations, and Satellite Systems, our UK team provides support to our European-based customers while specializing in the development of advanced space sensors for exploration missions as well as space-based communication technology. As our presence grows overseas, so does our need for new ambitious team players to help us advance our place in the Universe and beyond. As our Office Manager you will take care of the day to day running of office/facilities and ensuring the well-being of the local team members whilst supporting the leadership team on a day to day basis.

Role:

  • A truly multi-faceted role with the primary aim being to enable and ensure the office and facility operated in the most effective and efficient manner for all employees and guests, whilst liaising with a multitude of internal and external stakeholder.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the office/facility is maintained to the highest standards and in-line with company policies and procedures
  • Support resource managers and team leaders in ensuring relevant policies and procedures are being adhered to
  • Ensure relevant and correct IT/IM is available for the team
  • Own and deliver the induction process as well as being the first port of call for the team with general queries
  • Support calendar and diary management for the leadership/management team
  • Coordinate and manage schedules, meetings, and appointments as needed
  • Arrange travel and accommodation as required
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other executive assistants
  • Arrange and greeting visitors and clients
  • Attend meetings, recording minutes, and reporting on actions
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of conferences, dinners, social events, group travel, etc.
  • Support the administrative process associated with interviewing and hiring staff
  • Support the creation and submission of expense reports/claims
  • Support timesheet reporting process
  • Provide general administrative and office support
