We want you as a talented Flight Safety Certification Senior Engineer to help us in our mission by leading the Safety and Mission Assurance certification process for the Nyx Earth missions to the ISS, ensuring compliance with NASA's safety standards and regulations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and mission operations, to ensure alignment on safety requirements and objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the safety certification with the NASA safety board and other external stakeholders, providing regular updates on safety assurance activities and addressing any safety concerns or issues.
  • Manage safety assurance activities within budget and schedule constraints, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure On Time, On Cost certification of the spacecraft.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with spacecraft design and operations, including conducting risk assessments, developing risk mitigation strategies, and tracking risk mitigation actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety processes, procedures, and tools, leveraging lessons learned from previous missions and industry best practices.
