Supply Chain and Operations Lead

This focuses on the operations (e.g. finance), sourcing, contracting and supply across several categories, for all aspects of the subsystems of our ground-breaking spacecrafts.  

This role requires the confidence to build long term, collaborative relationships with our suppliers. 

  

While this role is designed to primarily work in France, you will interact extensively with a larger team in Astroscale’s Global offices and may be required to travel to visit suppliers globally. 

Responsibilities

• Review and/or drafting procurement/commercial documents including Statements Of Work (SOW), Contract, Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) etc.). 
• Support for preparing technical specifications. 
• Support/lead negotiations with candidate suppliers. 
• Experience of managing suppliers from sourcing to post delivery. 
• Draft and issue procurement contracts from Astroscale France (ASFR) mainly for French/European products, but not excluding all Astroscale business entities. 
• Synchronise/Optimise procurement activities with other Astroscale entities. 
• Support/lead supplier control after awarding contract until completion of delivery. 
• Interface with space agencies and industry suppliers as required. 
• Administrative tasks such as mailing, handling office supplies and international shipment 
• Support the Finance team with management reporting, Profit & Loss (P&L), and cash forecasting. 

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years Engineering Procurement experience, preferably in the Space Industry. 
• Experience in preparing and review commercial documents (SOW, Contract, NDA). 
• Experience of the Procurement lifecycle in a similar engineering product. 
• Knowledge of Export controls. 
• Excellent negotiation skills. 
• Excellent administration and organisational skills. 
• Experience of working as part of a project team. 
• Fluent in French and English. 
• Be Eligible and registered to work within Europe. 

Desirable Skills

• Bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant discipline, engineering, business Management, Procurement. 
• A good knowledge in CNES/ESA or other Space agency Procurement processes. 
• Knowledge of export control within procurement
