Sales & Business Development Manager, based in Luxembourg

Odysseus Space is seeking a full-time Sales & Business Development Manager to drive our growth initiatives and expand our market presence. The successful candidate will be based at our headquarters in Luxembourg, working closely with our dynamic and international team. Fluency in English, along with a proven track record in sales and business development within the aerospace or technology sectors, is essential for this role.

About us

Odysseus Space, established in Luxembourg in 2019, envisions to provide lightspeed connectivity everywhere in the Solar system. We will enable fast and secure communication between all human assets in space and on Earth. Our unique Cyclops™ laser communication solution enables new applications for commercial and military applications. As we venture into a new phase of product development, we are seeking dedicated professionals to join our young & international team to work on the next-generation commercial products that will shape the space missions of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and expand market share.

• Identify and pursue business opportunities for Cyclops™ and other products to be developed by Odysseus.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

• Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential clients and partners.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales and promotional materials.

• Support the writing of government proposals and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Attend space and defence events internationally to promote Odysseus Space and establish strategic partnerships.

• Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market developments. • Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, performance metrics, and market insights.

The right candidate

• Holds a bachelor's or master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.

• Possesses a minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the aerospace or technology sectors.

• Demonstrates a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.

• Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for innovation and space technology.

• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Citizenship from a member state of both EU and NATO.
