We are looking for a Physical Plant Security Manager at our Danbury, CT manufacturing facility. This position will play an integral role in the security program of the facility, ensuring safety of the facility, our employees, our programs, and our information.

Responsibilities: 

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the entire Physical Security program to include management of the guard force, access control, visitor management, classified area inspections, and all physical security risks.
  • Serving as the Subject Matter Expert for Physical Security program to the FSO including system architectures, integration of physical access control, classified area inspections, intrusion detection, video surveillance and event monitoring/response.
  • Advising on corporate strategy and road map for managing physical security risks to include effectiveness and standardization
  • Ensuring constant Physical Security coverage for the facility in compliance with IAW 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) to include company functions during and after business hours.
  • Oversee Random Anti-Terrorism Measures (RAMs) such as Driveway/Traffic control, vehicle inspections, personal effects inspections, area scans and permitter patrols.
  • Orchestrating Physical Security response to emergency situations, i.e., building evacuations, employee injury/illness, security violations.  
  • Maintaining all pertinent Physical Security documentation IAW applicable regulations, policies, and guidelines.

 

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current security clearance
  • Valid driver’s license

 

Experience Required: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of Physical Security experience to include some prior experience successfully leading teams.   
  • Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704, ICD 705, Security Executive Agent Directives, NIST 800-171 physical security controls, Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
  • Experience conducting self-inspections, responding to customer inquiries, developing and executing corrective action plans.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with management on the development and oversight of the Physical Security programs.
  • Track record of success in building, fostering, and maintaining relationships both with internal and external customers through effective interpersonal communications.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, taking initiative, being flexible and cooperative with a customer service focused mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with an ability to present information effectively to leaders.
  • Track record of success in managing, mentoring, and coaching Physical Security team members

 

EHS/Environmental Requirements: 

This job operates in a professional office environment as well as throughout the manufacturing floor.  Job requires a substantial amount of walking throughout a large facility as well as in the outside environment.  Employee may be required to wear PPE when going into certain manufacturing areas. This position requires an active US Government Security Clearance.  Additionally, per contract requirements, if you are a dual citizen (a citizen of the US and another country), the Company must obtain approval for you to have access to the information required for this position.  You will not be able to begin employment until such approval is obtained and this may take several months.
