We are seeking either a SDA T2 UI/UX SW Developer (T02) or a Principal SDA T2 UI/UX SW Developer (T03) to join our Space Development Agency (SDA) Tranche 2 (T2) Ground team. In this role, you will perform software development tasks that focus on User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) design and capabilities. This position is located onsite in Redondo Beach, CA.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

  • T02: 2 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in STEM; 0 Years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in STEM
  • T03: 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in STEM; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in STEM; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required at the time of application
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end development languages.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design skills
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles
  • Experience in usability testing, user interviews, and surveys
  • Ability to communicate across teams
  • Ability to solve complex problems creatively and effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Experience with user research, including usability testing and user interviews/surveys
  • Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices

Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00Salary Range 2: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
