Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to fill a System Administrator (A02)/ Principal System Administrator (A03) in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Aurora, CO

In this role, the successful candidate will perform general System Administrator skills in Windows & Linux, with patching experience. Candidates are required to be Security+ certified.  Candidates must have the ability to work within a group or independently where collaboration and attention to detail is critical to mission success. Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 2 - Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 0+ years
  • Level 3 - Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 3+ years, OR PhD with 1+ year
  • Active TS/SCI clearance at time of application.
  • Candidates are required to be Security+ certified.
  • General system administrator/support skills in both Linux and Windows systems.
  • Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify filer permissions
  • Lifting equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends, as needed.
  • Some travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Adjudicated CI-Poly
  • Basic scripting skills in Python and Perl
  • Installing, upgrading/patching, basic problem resolution, for both Linux and Windows
  • Participate in new installation, testing and special projects, as needed.
  • Exhibit good communication skills and patience with customers.
  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity, as assigned.

Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00Salary Range 2: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
