We’re on the hunt for a Manager Business Development on our team at our Montreal office.
As the leading global independent commercial supplier of antennas, payloads, and electronics for communication and radar satellites, our team has successfully contributed to hundreds of missions in the past 60 years. - Build relationships with key customer contacts and partners.
- Create customer awareness of MDA products, services, capability and strengths. Delivers MDA’s capabilities and culture to customers and partners at meetings, conferences, workshops, trade shows and customer sites.
- Engages with customers to identify, evaluate and develop business opportunities that will contribute to the MDA’s short and long-term business goals through new sales, orders, and contracts.
- Monitors customer budgets, past, current and future programs and upcoming RFPs.
- Identifies key customer issues, winning strategies and recommended target prices.
- Interact with in country Canadian Government organizations (Canadian Embassy, EDC, CSA, DND).
- Creates market and account strategies.
- Develops marketing material.
- Presents account plans and pursuit plans to senior management.
- Works closely with Capture Managers to ensure competitive and responsive proposals that meet the customer’s need.
- Support and grow existing client accounts.
- Support marketing initiatives related to MDA including contribution to new brochures, papers, advertising campaigns etc.
Requirements:
- Space industry and market awareness.
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Team player and demonstrated high level of integrity
- Experience managing external customer relationships.
- Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Demonstrates creativity in developing winning solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages an asset.
- Able to travel
- 2+ years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing.
Education:
- University degree or equivalent experience.
