Job Description:

We’re seeking a Communications co-op Student to join the Corporate Communications team at our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office. This can be a 4 or 8 month term starting ideally this summer or in September 2025. Please indicate your availability in your application.

As a Communications co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to undertake a variety of exciting and diverse projects to help tell the story of MDA Space to our various stakeholders.

Your responsibilities may include and not limited to:

  • Assist in the execution of communications strategies (internal and external) to support Satellite Systems activities
  • Write for MDA Space owned channels (corporate intranet, digital screens, internal emails or newsletters, MDA Space website, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and X)
  • Coordinate the Satellite Systems content calendar
  • Support the coordination and organization of presentations, events, special events, and other assignments as required
  • Monitor internal and external communications channels and develop reports and analytics
  • Assist with community partnerships and events
  • Work with graphic artists to create compelling visuals and content for our channels.

 

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Experience

  • Ideal candidates are enrolled in post-secondary Communications/PR/marketing/Journalism programs
  • Bilingual, with impeccable written and spoken French
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive thinker
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple competing requests with great attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize what matters
  • Strong photography/videography/visual editing skills an asset

  • Understands various communications channels, including social media and how to engage an audience
  • A love of learning

 

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
