Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a System Integration and Test Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) in our Colorado Springs, CO office.
Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities related to integration, assembly, testing, and checkout (IATC) of high-precision tracking radar systems and associated electronic disciplines to include digital and analog signal processing, high power RF transmitters, receivers, antennas, antenna positioning systems, computers, and computer interfaces.
Job Duties:
- Performs software testing on the DARC radar system.
- Prepare test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Ensure effective communication between assigned engineers and all other participants in the integration and testing process.
- Support agile software development team.
- Support the development of system test solutions in accordance with project technical, schedule and cost constraints.
- Assist team in development of innovative Test Automation solutions.
- Participate in, prepare and execute comprehensive system/element level test plans and procedures.
- Support system/element level test planning and test readiness reviews
- Document test requirements and methodologies in the requirements management system.
- Review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete
- Support the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software/hardware system integration testing
- Participate in engineering peer reviews as a document originator or reviewer to ensure technical quality and engineering rigor is appropriate
- Reports to the integration and test lead.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or, 3 years with a Master’s Degree or 4 Years with a PhD in a STEM field from an accredited University or College
- Active Secret clearance at time of application
- Willingness and ability to support international travel up to 50%
- Experience in the development of software requirement verification procedures.
- Experience generating Modeling and Simulation (M&S) scenarios.
- Experience conducting formal requirement verification test procedures.
- Experience preparing test reports.
- Experience with C++
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working as part of an Integration and Test team across multiple engineering disciplines
- Experience as a member of a team integrating large, complex systems comprised of diverse HW and SW elements
- Ability to support Integration and Test/Checkout (IATC) of Hardware and Software configuration items
- Ability to document and record integration activities, including plans, procedures, results, and deficiencies
- International integration and/or test experience
- Software development integration and test methodologies
- Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- Experience with large ground data processing systems integration
- Experience with radar processing algorithms or software integration
