Be a summer intern (SUM) in the Parts Acquisition Group (5142) within the Component Engineering and Assurance Office (514), reporting to the Group Supervisor.  Under the direction of technical lead, the intern will be responsible for supporting multiple organizational needs.  The primary responsibility will be supporting the physical inventory of the JPL Component Inventory.  Work will be reviewed for accuracy and overall progress will be evaluated.

Required Skills:

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree

  • Must have at least 1 semester or quarter remaining to complete degree

  • Must be Freshman or Sophomore academic standing

  • Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0

  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 weeks over the summer

  • Must be able to work a 9/80 work schedule

  • Strong computer skills, knowledge, and experience with MS Office

  • Strong attention to details

  • Ability to work in a team environment

Desired Skills:

Prior experience in physical inventory counting

The typical hourly rate for this job in Pasadena, California depending on education level is $18.50 as a freshman and $21.50 as a sophomore.
