Infrastructure Engineer

Space Forge is a fast growing advanced materials company. Our goal is to exploit the extreme temperature,

microgravity and ultra-high vacuum conditions available in low earth orbit (LEO) to manufacture materials that

cannot readily be grown terrestrially. Returning these materials to earth, we aim to revolutionise the

semiconductor market and to make space work for humanity. To achieve this we have developed a range of

technologies including the world’s first returnable and reusable satellite platform, the ForgeStar®.

We are looking to hire an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Information Operations team.

What will you do?

● Development of internal tools and cloud infrastructure

● Development of tools to help improve internal processes

● Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

Key responsibilities of the role:

● Deploying updates and fixes

● Liaising with internal customers to understand requirements for internal systems

● Implementation and upkeep of CICD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) processes and tools within Space Forge

The range of skills we are looking for:

Technical skills:

● [Essential] Good Linux knowledge - you should be comfortable in using a terminal

● [Essential] Demonstrable knowledge of AWS

● [Essential] Knowledge of CI/CD tools - such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, etc

● [Essential] Experience using Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code solutions

● [Essential] Experience programming in Typescript, Python, GoLang or Java

● [Essential] Experience scripting with either Bash or PowerShell

● Experience working in environments holding certifications such as Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001

● Previous experience in a similar role

● Good understanding of Jira

● Experience with Azure, including Entra & Intune

Salary range for this role: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on knowledge, experience and skills.

You will be required to attend the office 1 day per week minimum.
