This role will ensure inventory is stocked appropriately by evaluating customer future needs, reviewing inventory quantity, and initiating orders for additional/new material.  Records quantity and type of stock received, in store, and issued.  Ensures inventory accuracy by conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.

You will do the following:

·        Handles moderately complex tasks in areas like receiving, storing, and issuing materials, supplies, and equipment.

·        Ensures materials are well-organized, checks received items against documentation for correctness.

·        Verifies stock quality and order accuracy.

·        Issues materials, prepares stock kits, tracks transactions, and conducts physical inventories.

·        Operates material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet handlers.

Qualifications:

·        Typically requires a high school diploma with a minimum of 6 years of related work experience; or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 1 year related experience; related required training.

·        Demonstrated experience operating forklifts and other transportation equipment (e.g., heavy-duty tugger vehicles).

·        Solid understanding of the job's general and detailed aspects, including relevant policies, procedures, and practices. Learns new techniques and expands knowledge of the role.

·        Communicates with peers, functional partners, and external customers for moderately complex issues. Participates in teams within and outside the organization.

·        Resolves moderately difficult issues and may recommend improvements or new techniques.

·        Works under general supervision with routine tasks reviewed upon completion and new tasks reviewed throughout. Takes ownership of work and applies judgment based on defined procedures.

The hiring range displayed below is specifically for those who will work in or reside in the location listed. In extending an offer, Jet Propulsion Laboratory considers factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s job related skills, experience, knowledge, and relevant education/training. Hiring range for this job may be adjusted based on primary work location outside of Pasadena, California. This adjusted range will be provided to candidates by the Recruiter when applicable.

$55,848 - $73,632
