Category Buyer Mechanical (m/f/x) -Maternity Leave Cover (Limited Contract for 12/14 months)

Join us as Mechanical Category Buyer (m/w/x) and work with us on changing the future!

• You observe "your" procurement market and deal with the relevant manufacturing and testing procedures
• You support the evaluation and selection of suppliers, qualify them and contribute to sustainable supplier development
• You plan invitations to tender and conduct supplier enquiries and then prepare bid comparisons
• You place blanket orders and purchase orders and follow them up on a sustained basis. This includes checking order confirmations and creating delivery reminders. Last but not least, you check and process "your" incoming invoices to complete the purchasing process.
• You focus on security of supply, quality and market-driven prices and conditions.

• Customer-service based attitude - eager to help be a part of the mission, a team player
• A history of taking ownership and responsibility for your assigned area - going the extra mile whenever needed
• Willingness perform repeat tasks but also take on new topics as needed
• A habit of thinking “outside the box” - happy to have creative solutions to solve business problems as they occur and willingness to be flexible within the system
• Mittlere Reife or abgeschlossene Ausbildung preferred in office environment
• Self-confidence, no fear!  Willingness to make mistakes and learn on the job, ask for (and receive) help
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
• Preferably experience reading and interpreting drawings and vendor quotations
• Business fluent in German and English
