Join us as Commodity Buyer - Optics & Photonics (m/w/x) and work with us on changing the future!

What awaits you at Mynaric

You keep a close eye on your procurement market and are familiar with relevant manufacturing and testing procedures.
You support the evaluation and selection of suppliers, qualify them, and actively contribute to sustainable supplier development.
Invitations to tender are planned and executed by you, including conducting supplier inquiries and preparing bid comparisons.
You negotiate and place blanket and purchase orders, and consistently follow up on them. This includes reviewing order confirmations and issuing delivery reminders when necessary.
You also take responsibility for checking and processing your incoming invoices, completing the purchasing process — including managing complaints.
Ensuring security of supply, high quality, and market-appropriate pricing and conditions is always a priority for you.
You're confident communicating and negotiating with suppliers in both German and English.
Strong supplier relationships are something you build and maintain, supported by well-structured framework agreements.

A history of taking ownership and responsibility for your assigned area - going the extra mile whenever needed
Willingness perform repeat tasks but also take on new topics as needed
A habit of thinking “outside the box” - happy to have creative solutions to solve business problems as they occur and willingness to be flexible within the system
Mittlere Reife or abgeschlossene Ausbildung preferred in office environment
Self-confidence, no fear! Willingness to make mistakes and learn on the job, ask for (and receive) help
Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
Preferably experience reading and interpreting drawings and vendor quotations
Business fluent in German and English
