Job description
As a Technical Recruiter at Turion Space, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring top-tier engineers and technical professionals. You will partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure a seamless candidate experience. Your role will be critical in shaping our rapidly growing team as we continue to innovate in the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates.
- Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify top technical talent in aerospace, software, and related fields.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, create compelling job descriptions, and streamline hiring processes.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of passive and active candidates for current and future hiring needs.
- Utilize various recruitment tools, including LinkedIn, job boards, networking events, and referrals, to attract top talent.
- Conduct initial candidate assessments, including resume screening and preliminary interviews, to evaluate technical qualifications and cultural fit.
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience by maintaining clear communication and providing timely feedback throughout the hiring process.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and best practices in technical recruitment.
- Represent Turion Space at career fairs, networking events, and industry conferences to enhance employer branding and attract top talent.
- Work closely with HR and leadership to improve recruiting strategies and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in technical recruiting, preferably within aerospace, engineering, or high-tech industries.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques and tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and AI-driven recruitment platforms.
- Familiarity with technical roles such as aerospace engineers, robotics engineers, software developers, and systems engineers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing hiring needs.
- Experience with diversity recruiting strategies and employer branding initiatives is a plus.
- Passion for aerospace, space technology, and innovation is highly desirable.
