Job Summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced and driven Executive Assistant to provide strategic administrative support to our Vice President, Chief People Officer and General Manager, Deputy Chief People Officer. This is a dynamic, high-impact opportunity to be involved in a transformative organization that contributes to the goals of the Company.

As an integral member of the People Operations management team and focal point for the organization, you will provide collaborative administrative support and leadership to ensure effective and efficient departmental operations. You are proactive and take initiative to solve problems independently with autonomy to positively impact the productivity and efficiency of People Operations. You take ownership of processes and procedures, and work closely with leadership, colleagues, and customers across the enterprise to ensure the organization runs smoothly and meets internal and external deliverables.

Work Model

This is a full-time hybrid position based in El Segundo,CA, offering four days per week onsite, with balance of the week remote, or as business conditions allow.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Organize and prioritize critical issues and information for the Chief People Officer to facilitate efficient and effective decision making​
  • Execute strategic, proactive, and complex calendaring, scheduling, meeting management, and departmental event planning & coordination
  • Arrange travel coordination, logistics, and complex expense reporting
  • Manage the coordination of departmental employee support for new-hire on-boarding needs and any equipment needs within the organization
  • Manage weekly coordination of departmental timesheet administration to Payroll 
  • Lead or participate in special projects; track and drive deliverables to completion ​
  • Manage People Operations organizational charts (compile, edit, publish) and reports as needed by Chief People Officer    
  • Perform as partner, representative, and point of contact for Chief People Officer with Board of Trustees interaction, Corporate Officers, all levels of management across the enterprise, and internal People Operations department
  • Draft and prepare correspondence, emails, letters, and presentations on behalf of Chief People Officer
  • Develop and improve effective processes across the enterprise that provide superior organization, efficiency, and industry-lead technical best practices​
  • Collaborate with administration professionals across the Company  
  • Leads by demonstrating professionalism, team collaboration, technical expertise, and leadership behavior that is consistent with the Company's values​

What You Need to be Successful - Executive Assistant

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five or more years of relevant experience providing administrative support
  • Mastery of administrative skills: project management, strategic execution of tasks, organization, superior attention to detail, writing, and proofreading
  • Expert-level technological fluency across a wide range of tools and platforms​ including Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, plus meeting tools including Teams and Zoom
  • Mastery of communication and interpersonal skills: leadership, collaboration, resiliency, strategic thinking, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, judgment, business acumen, and decision making
  • Ability to manage sensitive and personnel-related information appropriately
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team to proactively deliver innovative solutions and resolve issues with minimal direction

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working within Concur or other travel-related applications (e.g. Workday, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Familiarity with Aerospace corporate organizational structures, policies, processes, and practices

                    

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.  The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.  Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
