The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic Space Launch Systems (SLS) team in Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
- Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position could be for various shifts (1st or 2nd).
This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role.
- Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees.
- Willingness to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience working on a NASA program.
- Experience applying and implementing lean manufacturing principles in a production system.
- Experience working on a developmental program.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) or a similar application system.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.
