The Role:
The MDA Business Transformation team is looking for a Manager to support strategic transformation and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver world-class process and system improvement designs. Reporting to the Sr Director of Business Transformation, this role will manage a team of Business Analysts and recommend MDA-wide transformation improvements projects that include process optimization, tool upgrades, data and analytics across MDA Space. This role will also act as the Business Transformation Business Partner for corporate and shared services functions.
What You'll Do:
Business Analyst Team Leader
- Manage a growing team of Business Analysts.
- Develop the team to design and implement transformation projects to achieve MDA Space strategic plans
Transformation Business Partner
- Partner with a variety of stakeholders to balance Business Area, Functional Area and Enterprise business current and future business needs to align with the OneMDA roadmap
- Determine where Enterprise standardization for processes and tools is required to meet business strategy
- Business Transformation oversight stakeholder for Functional Area run pilot projects or continuous improvement projects in contracts, security & compliance, finance, supply chain and human resources.
Transformation Project Lead
- Support the Sr Director of Business Transformation in a variety of change projects
- Act as the Project Lead for new enterprise implementations and continuous improvement of existing business systems, processes and policies.
- Make improvement project recommendations based on project business cases to analyze processes, determine project scope, define resources, budget, timelines and document the deliverables
- Deliver improvements on schedule and cost, report regularly on status
Who You Are:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as process improvement, management or engineering 10+ years of experience
- Project management experience is an asset
- At least 3 years of experience with continuous improvement techniques. Experience with Six Sigma, DMAIC, TQM, Lean, Kaizen, or other process improvement methodology is an asset.
- Experience with automation is an asset
- Cross discipline engineering knowledge is required.
- Experience in gathering requirements for and understanding complex work flows across multiple departments
- Ability to analyze workflow and process flow diagrams and interpret process dependencies
- Ability and interest to try new applications for compliance to requirements
- A problem solver who can devise a solution and lead implementation
- Strong attention to detail with a desire to learn and grow with an organization
- Someone who can go out into the organization to collect and compile information from subject matter experts into a recommendation to be implemented
- Demonstrates interpersonal competence including reliability, consistency, flexibility and adaptability in day-to-day interactions
- Excited to learn by working alongside experts in many different fields
- Knowledge of ISO9000/AS9100 standards is an asset
Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

The compensation range for this position is $115,000-140,000 annually. The specific compensation offered will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
