This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division in our Facilities and Maintenance group supporting our manufacturing operations at our Case Manufacturing facility located in the Clearfield, Utah facility and the new Copper Crossing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This position will occasionally support the Promontory and Bacchus Utah locations. Candidate must be willing to travel to all 4 campuses and be on site.

Description & Responsibilities:
As a Machine Learning Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Specialize in predictive analytics of new and legacy industrial manufacturing equipment. Develop a scalable and reliable architecture for ML implementation.
Work with process controls engineers to identify and define PLC tags from sensors or components related to equipment health.
Work with process controls engineers to add PLC tags into historian.
Coordinate with reliability engineers to create machine monitoring strategies to support the reliability centered maintenance program.
Utilize time series based anomaly detection and supervised models to increase the accuracy of failure prediction.
Build asset health dashboards to communicate current state and allow for historical trend analysis.
There is considerable latitude for independent action and decision making.

Ability to utilize SQL.
Ability to utilize ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, Pytorch, Keras & Scikit-learn.
Ability to utilize historian such as Canary.
Dashboard creation in Ignition Perspective, Canary Axiom, PowerBI, or Tableau.
This position may be filled at a 03 level or an 04 level.
Basic Qualifications for a level 03:
A minimum 5 years of related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 3 years with a Master’s; or 0 years with PhD in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
Basic understanding of various types of manufacturing equipment.
Experience with Python, or other Industrial IoT technology.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with implementing ML/IOT in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of reliability concepts (i.e., MTTR, MTBF, probability of failure, condition monitoring, etc.)
Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, PowerBI.
Basic Qualifications for a level 04
A minimum 8 years of related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 6 years with a Master’s; or 4 years with PhD in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
Basic understanding of various types of manufacturing equipment.
Experience with Python, or other Industrial IoT technology.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with implementing ML/IOT in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of reliability concepts (i.e., MTTR, MTBF, probability of failure, condition monitoring, etc.)
Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, PowerBI.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a Software Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with predictive analytics / machine learning.
Experience with PLCs and generating tags.
Experience in manufacturing operations.
Experience leading high functioning cross functional teams.
Experience implementing CMMS/EAM in an organization.
Experience with control systems including Allen Bradley, FANUC, and Siemens.
Experience with AWS, Azure, & GitLab.
