We’re on the hunt for a Satellite IVV & AIT Senior System Engineer on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role :
The Satellite IVV & AIT System Engineer will be responsible for the Electrical system IVV design, performance analysis, Test Plans & Test Methods definitions, EGSEs definition, implementation and testing in support of MDA Telecommunication or remote Sensing satellites.
Tasks :
- Lead, support, define & write engineering documentations: Test and Validation Plans, system test requirements, SOC, verification and validation matrix, design description, Test procedures.
- Participate in cross-functional teams.
- Production of relevant EGSE documentation, as needed.
- Satellite and payload assembly Integration and Test, including flasats.
- Attend test reviews: TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCR’s
- Support Satellite and payload testing: EGSE, Test supervision, data analysis, trending…
- Support Satellite tests at S/C supplier premises or selected Test house.
- Support In-Orbit Test (IOT)
- Write up Satellite Operations Manual
Required Qualifications :
- Engineering degree in relevant field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IVV/AIT, testing Electronic systems, communications and/or remote sensing satellites
- The knowledge of Array Antenna with multiple active elements and knowledge of various modulation types, signal processing and Networking will be considered favorably.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as:
- Performance Network analyzer
- High sampling oscilloscope
- Spectrum analyzer
- Arbitrary waveform generator
- Modems
- Knowledge of Signal Processing theory
- Knowledge of Orbital Mechanic and Spacecraft modes
- Knowledge of Satellite Bus Sub-systems such as EPS, C&DH, PROP, TT&C
- Knowledge/experience in the following programming languages:
- MATLAB
- Python
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as:
- CANbus
- SpaceWire
- SPI serial link
- Good personal, written and verbal communication skills
Comments/Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
