Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) Sector is seeking an Associate Material Requirements Planning Analyst to support the materials operation team. This position is located at our Sierra Vista, Arizona campus, in office.

The Material Requirements Planning Analyst acts as the focal point between NG Suppliers, Global Supply Chain (GSC) and Program Management Office (PMO) teams regarding material planning and procurements. A successful candidate will effectively manage competing priorities, build strong internal and external relationships, and present timely, accurate information when required. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinating

  • Organizing priorities to accomplish complex and challenging tasks in a high-pressure and short-turnaround environment, with minimal supervision
  • Use trends and historical metrics to foresee risks in procurement activities to inform Supply Chain Management and PMO
  • Identify material and supplier risk and opportunities while in proposal and execution phases

Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

  • Liaise with Program and General Procurement (GP) buying teams and requestors to ensure PRs flow smoothly to Purchase Orders (POs)
  • Prepare weekly presentations of OU PR to PO dwell times,
  • Use of SAP (S4/HANA) for procurements, production planning, inventory, and status
  • Interface with Quality, Buyers, Requestors, Suppliers, and Programs to manage and burn down Grief Rack tracker tickets to closure (Parts on the grief rack are items which arrive on dock with issues)

Expediting

  • Performing expediter duties as needed to ensure supplier commitments are met
  • Update SAP, programs, and production teams with updates to late orders
  • Work with suppliers and other NG programs to mitigate material delays

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 2 years’ experience in Logistics, Global Supply Chain, Project Management, Product Support, Training, or Cross-departmental coordination
  • Bachelor’s degree and 0 years’ experience Logistics, Global Supply Chain, Project Management, Product Support, Training, or Cross-departmental coordination
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Clearance isn't required to start but must be eligible to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
  • Must have a working knowledge of MS Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ year of SAP (or any ordering platform) experience in procurement or inventory management
  • 2+ years communicating and presenting data
  • Supply Chain, Logistics, Product Support, Spares manufacturing, and/or Spares buying experience
  • Spares: Proposing, Negotiating, Post Award Tracking, On-Time Delivery
  • Experience in the DD-250 process with DCMA and MOCAS
  • Contracts, Technical, Flight Operations, Logistics and/or Maintenance Background
  • Experience with Cable Shop, Defense Logistics Agency, Global Hawk
  • Excel skills: vLookup, xLookup, PivotTables

Salary Range: $48,000.00 - $70,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
