Responsibilities

Tasks and missions

Manage Procurement Processes

  • Oversee the procurement of supplies, services, and goods needed by technical departments, following the purchasing process established by management.

Collaborate with Internal Clients

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify needs.
  • Assist technical leads in selecting appropriate suppliers (existing or new) by preparing consultation files.
  • Negotiate and formalize agreements to meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.

Act as the Central Point for Supplier Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal developments involving suppliers.
  • Manage the consultation process, ensuring updates to specifications, revisions, and requirements are effectively tracked and implemented.

Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams

  • Partner with the supplier quality team to ensure compliance with documentation and quality requirements.
  • Work with the legal, safety, and regulatory departments to guarantee adherence to relevant regulations in applicable purchases.

Supplier Support and Risk Mitigation

  • Provide occasional support to suppliers.
  • Identify potential risks, address issues autonomously when possible, or escalate them to the reporting manager as needed.

Administrative and Project Support

  • Contribute to administrative tasks within the procurement department or related functions.
  • Monitor project progress, ensure invoice tracking and payment follow-ups.

Order Tracking and Supplier Follow-Up

  • Manage and follow up on prototype and first-series procurement for rocket components and ground infrastructure.

Position specifics:

- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams

- Actively participate in cross-functional company meetings and supplier negotiations

- Confidentiality: treat purchase price contracts as strictly confidential and ensure they are not disclosed outside the company

- Travel to supplier sites and industry trade shows, accounting for approximately 25% of working time

Preferred experience and skills

Education and experience:

- Technical degree from an engineering school or university, and/or Master's degree in Business or Industrial Procurement.

- A strong technical background is required

- Proven experience in project procurement or industrial purchasing.

Knowledge and skills:

- Proficient in office tools, especially Excel; comfortable using ERP systems with procurement modules

- Skilled in consolidating information and preparing detailed reports

- Knowledge of logistics principles and ability to manage urgent situations effectively

- Strong communication skills via email and phone, fluent in both written and spoken French and English

- Experience preparing negotiation and consultation files

- Autonomous, proactive and resourceful

- Solid understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, including mechanical, electronic, and intellectual services.
