SSSD has an opening for a Principal Project Management Analyst/Sr. Principal Project Management Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA and can be filled at either level 3 Principal Project Management Analyst or level 4 Sr. Principal Project Management Analyst. *Additionally, this position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining associated customer and/or business funding as well as obtaining final clearances within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance required for the position in the future.

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

-Reports to Business Unit/Operating Unit director

-Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management

-Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports

-Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

-Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients

-Maintains staffing forecast and gaps based on new program awards

-Proactively gathers and prepares content for weekly staff meetings

-Maintains key metrics and regular reporting for the Business Unit/Operating Unit

-Leads engagement initiatives

-Takes ownership of the Business Unit/Operating Unit Strategic Rhythm

-Facilitates risk and opportunity management

-Coordinates strategic facilities initiatives

Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management Analyst (Level 3):

-Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET-accredited university and 5+ years of relevant experience OR

-Master’s Degree from an ABET-accredited university and 3+ years of relevant experience OR

-PhD from an ABET-accredited university and 1+ years of relevant experience

-Candidate must have (and be able to maintain) an active, within scope, or current U.S. Government DOD Top Secret security clearance at time of application and prior to start date OR  

-Candidate must have active SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years at time of application and prior to start date


Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Project Management Analyst (Level 4):

-Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET-accredited university and 8+ years of relevant experience OR

-Master’s Degree from an ABET-accredited university and 6+ years of relevant experience OR

-PhD from an ABET-accredited university and 4+ years of relevant experience

-Candidate must have (and be able to maintain) an active, within scope, or current U.S. Government DOD Top Secret security clearance at time of application and prior to start date OR  

-Candidate must have active SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years at time of application and prior to start date


Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with the technical development and execution of projects/programs
-Ability to effectively operate in dynamic work environment with ability to develop work product independently

Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00Salary Range 2: $113,500.00 - $170,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
