Position Description:

 MDA Space is a leader in the provision of earth observation systems and service programs, catering to both the Canadian and international markets. As part of MDA Space’s services programs, MDA Space provides airline operations support services to Canada’s Department of National Defence (DND).

This position requires Sabre knowledge and airline travel industry experience. Responsibilities:

 This position focuses on customer service, daily interaction with the airline and customer, testing software functionalities, training and troubleshooting using Sabre products.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Perform daily flight reconciliations
  • Provide software support and troubleshooting to the customer
  • Develop and prepare training materials
  • Assist with training needs during courses
  • Delivery of software training (using the Sabre system)
  • Test and assess updated software releases (primarily Sabre software)
  • Technical documentation preparation and review
  • Back-up support to the Ottawa office, on an as-required, as-needed basis     

Requirements (experience/skills):

  • Travel Industry Diploma
  • Must have proven knowledge and experience with Sabre products, particularly with experience in Native Sabre
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Proven ability to communicate and provide customer service in both official languages would be an asset
  • Proven experience Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Word
  • Ability to provide Sabre technical support to offsite locations for resolution of workflow issues
  • Ability to work as a team member, yet efficiently function with low levels of supervision

Desirable:

  • Experience with software testing
  • Training experience in the travel industry

Comments/Special Considerations:

Candidate must hold or be eligible to obtain Level II Security Clearance.

Travel will be required with this project and an as needed/required basis.
