Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for an Inventory Material Control Support staff, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be part of the Space Manufacturing & Engineering organization.  Must be willing to work 1st shift and overtime when needed to satisfy customer requirements.

Daily tasks include but are not limited to the following:

  • Compiles records concerned with quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued.
  • Requisitions needed supplies; verifies material received to determine irregularities in order; inspects articles and rejects defective ones.
  • Prepares inventory records and reports and investigates discrepancies in stock counts.
  • Manage MRP material on shop floors
  • Keeps track of all shelf-life inventory
  • Properly transport chemicals to and from storage and re-cert
  • Tracks material through NG receiving/inspection process after delivery

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D) required
  • Two years of additional education and/or related experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrate technical knowledge in manufacturing operations and procedures as it pertains to mechanical assembly and testing with a high attention to detail
  • SAP knowledge or MRP software knowledge
  • Familiar with Northrop Grumman Corporation processes
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to supplement work orders and other data requirements
  • Comprehension with reading drawings, process specifications, and work order instructions

Salary Range: $42,000.00 - $70,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
